HOW YOU CAN HELP

The "Friends of the Sudanese Lost Boys of Cleveland" hope to:

  • Support the educational and vocational goals of the Lost Boys in Northeast Ohio so that they may achieve their dreams in safety.

  • Provide caring mentors and tutors to the Lost Boys of Cleveland.

  • Relocate the Lost Boys to areas in Cleveland where they can settle without fear.

  • Help the Lost Boys integrate into our community through extracurricular activities and by meeting positive role models.

Monthly Call for Help...

...Volunteers needed for the May 17 Bowl-A-Thon Fundraiser.

On May 17, 2008, we will be having a bowl-a-thon fundraiser at Fairview Lanes from 7-9:30pm (see Upcoming Events). Please bring your family and friends and join us for a fun filled evening. It will include glow in the dark bowling, food, entertainment, and a silent auction. The cost is $20 per person or $75.00 per family.

We are also looking for volunteers in the following areas:

  • Sponsoring a lane, either as an individual or as a company. We will put your name or your company name and telephone number above a lane, which will remain there for 10 days post event, allowing for some free advertising.

  • Coordinating a themed basket for the silent auction. Possible themes would include family entertainment, arts and crafts, gardening, Cleveland sports, Father’s Day, or any other creative ideas you may have. Items for the baskets can be obtained by either approaching stores/vendors or asking friends and family to donate an item or two.

  • Providing baked goods for the night of the event.

  • Providing food donations for the night of the event. If you own a food establishment, or know someone who does, we are looking for pizzas, subs, etc… to be donated and served that evening.

With your help, we can make this a success and assist in making these men’s lives a little easier. If you are interested, please e-mail Lara Adler at jladler3@roadrunner.com.

Thanks again.
